Anthropology - China - Ethics - Video Games

I received my PhD in Anthropology from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.

My research concerns the formation of ethical subjectivities in digitally mediated spaces.

My dissertation argued that EVE Online players in China depend on relationships with families and comrades over abstract principles to make ethical judgements. I advocate for the use of Confucian terminology to describe an anthropology of ethics. This, and other papers I have written are available on my page at Academia.

I have also written for Pocket Tactics.

My curriculum vitae.
